Is this linked to any platform? For example I tried Saxo Bank’s platform on a Demo a year or more ago, and I could not get the hang of it, and so reverted back to an MT4 based broker.
I would imagine you will include MT4 being so popular. If so will you be expalining how to link it to your platform?
You are spot on about most people just being too busy to spen lots of time backtesting, so this is an exciting development.

Yes it ONLY works with MT4 and yes we have videos showing you how to easily connect it etc so it’s very easy to use. So yes very exciting move here… Charlie

Hi Charlie, very exciting what you showed here.

How good is the data the backtest runs on?
Was any curve fitting been done on the strategy?

I know you never believed in robots and mechanical trading… but this is exactly that.
I hope this APP will be as it shows, I’m very curious.

    Thanks Charlie!
    Regards, George

The data has been collected live over the past 10 years so it’s all clean. No curve fitting of the strategy itself so the only changes are what you like with regards to markets, timeframes etc. No I still don’t like auto bots generally but as this has my DST strategy plugged in I am very happy with it!

      Exciting!

Thanks for the answers Charlie! I’m happy to hear that.
Good luck with finishing the app!

    Cheers!

Hi Charlie, is this a 3rd party solution that you are plugging into? It looks familiar.

No, it’s been developed by the devloper for his own trading and now we have plugged my setup into it.

Thanks so much for this – it sounds really exciting. I bought the DST package at the end of last year. Will I have to pay for this or is it inclusive?

Hi Sarah, anyone that wants this will need to have DST yes and so you will be able to have it but no it’s not free. This is a very comprehence solution so the price will reflect that. Still cheap in my opinion so will release the cost once we are ready to launch it…

Hi Charlie – love the idea and look of this, albeit always sceptical about any kind of automated / autogenerated systems, as it’s only as good as the info / data pumped in at the front end?! Will this ever be as good and reliable at identifying suitable trades / set ups as doing all the ‘donkey work yourself (manually / the good old traditional way)

    Thoughts?

    Mark

Well it’s got my DST strategy plugged in and will generate those trades. You as the user still have the final choice to accept the trade or not so it’s a great combination of the system doing the leg work and then you doing the final checks and monitoring. A bit like a pilot using autopilot – he wouldn’t leave the plane with no one at the wheel…

Charlie, what account size was used for these backtests?
and how I understand, the backtests will run centrally not on our APP, the app will just show the results, is that right?

    Thanks, George

The back tests are all run on 10k starting capital but that really doesn’t matter as it’s all relative. Yes the backtests all run on the software…

Do you have to be using your DST strategy to be able to use this? I have the DTS indicators set up on my MT4 but am using it to trade with a modified strategy. Would I have to learn your DTS strategy and become proficient in that (trading in profit)? Or could I pick up the new intellegent system with the basics of your DTS strategy?
    Sorry if that sounds confusing!

Anyone that wants the system will have to understand the stratgey that is in the system and that’s DST. So as long as people have that, they can apply for the system. I can’t let people have the system without DST as they still have to understand what’s driving it all so they know what they are doing…

Charlie, can I ask what different information this software AI side using from the 10 year backtest data?

For example you mentioned that will reduce the risk on a trade if the Long setup hardly happened on that pair…

    Thanks, George

      July 28, 2020 at 1:05 pm

Yes the software will look at all it’s past data to look at such things as win rate, risk reard etc to decide how much risk to put on. So it calculates all that for you and gives you it’s recommendation if you select dynamic risk. There’s so many facets and tests you can do with it that you can tailor to your own risk profile and tolerence etc…

    Hi Charlie,
Would you make the compatible with spread betting or just CFD’s? And I understand it’s only working with the DST package but will the system allow users to tweak the DST pattern ourselves? Look forward to the release.

    • Charlie Burton-Reply
      July 30, 2020 at 8:00 am

If your spread bet account is on MT4 then yes no problem but it needs the MT4 as the bridge to send the trades over.

The tweaking goes on in the backtesting but you can’t change the actual pattern, just timeframes/risk/reward/markets etc…
