I did not mention it in the video, but is it going to be a case of ‘sell in May and go away’ for the indices or are the current round of earnings announcements and mergers going to keep things buoyant? We will see, at the moment there is still a hint of bullish but we know how fickle traders can be.
We do have some big stories this week with the FOMC meeting and Non-Farms payrolls. We also have the PMI data out for the pound and dollar which can create some decent volatility. I am not expecting too much on Tuesday with many markets closed for May day but there are still some key events and the London and US markets are both open for business as usual.
