    Hi Charlie,

first of all thank you very much for all of your videos, they are very usefull! I’d like to ask you a question.

I’ve just started live on 1st october with a system within I trade forex news releases. So the thing is that I have a 40% winning ratio, but I ussually risk 8 pips, but when a win, I take 20 to 50 pips average, so after 64 trades, I am profitable, 9% last month and 5,2% at the moment. I was also after 140 trades on demo account profitable.

Now I’m worried about lots. I trade with 1000 pounds, so when I open a position is maximal 0.1 lots (microlots) and I ussualy risk less, so that means even less tan 0.75%. The thing is, do you think that is posible to trade news releases with mor lots? Will for example EUR/USD ‘absorb’ 1 or 2 lots when non-farm payrolls is released? or interest rate decisions?

I’m worried about that, because maybe it’s not profitable on the long term…

Thank you very much for your help, and sorry about such a long message.

    Best Regards

Hi Paul and thanks very much for your message. It’s a dilemma for sure! I do think that as your position size increases there will be more likelihood of slippage on news yes.

But there’s only one way to find out and that’s to try. On the micro lots you are trading it wont be an issue but at some point your fill prices won’t be as good. But for now, keep going and keep me updated on how you are getting on.

        Hi Charlie,

Ok, so I’ll keep doing it, and I’ll tell you how it goes in a couple of months, because I supouse that trading news is not the best thing to do, I guess… What do you think?

Thank you very much for your support Charlie! I really appreciate it!

        Best Regards

Well I do trade the news but usually wait for the reaction before making any decisions. As its working for you, keep with it for the time being…

I really basicaly focus on risk management, and trail stops, but I trade just inmediatly when the news are updated, so there is a lot of volatility some times, that’s why I was worried about the size of the position. But we’ll see if it works…

Appart of that, related to your Divergent Swing Trading package, is it a system that could be your an income basis, or is it more something like an ‘extra’ added to whatever your main system or strategie is? Is it a forex based strategie? I was maybe interested on it, because of its price, because I can’t really afford your daytrading and swingtrading packages, which really sound great…

Thank you very much again for your support Charlie, I really appreciate it.

            Best Regards

I’ve been asked a lot of questions about it. I will cover them in next Monday’s video update…
